LOST is seeking for an empathetic and motivated Life Skills Coach to empower program beneficiaries by equipping them with essential personal and professional skills to succeed in the workplace and daily life. The Life Skills Coach will focus on building self-confidence, communication, decision-making, emotional resilience, and workplace behavior—key competencies for long-term success in employment, education, or entrepreneurship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver interactive life skills training sessions tailored to the needs of the target group (e.g., youth, women, underserved communities)
- Cover core topics such as communication, teamwork, time management, conflict resolution, critical thinking, self-esteem, and stress management
- Use participatory training techniques such as role-plays, storytelling, group discussions, games, and reflection exercises
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment where beneficiaries feel comfortable sharing and learning
- Support personal development by helping participants set goals and build confidence
- Coach beneficiaries on workplace etiquette, professional conduct, and adaptability
- Identify emotional or behavioral challenges and refer participants to counselors or support services when needed
- Customize content to the educational and cultural background of the trainees
- Monitor participant progress and provide individual guidance or mentorship
- Maintain training records, attendance, evaluation reports, and feedback
- Collaborate with vocational trainers, job placement teams, or social workers to align life skills support with broader program goals
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in training, coaching, counseling, or social development work
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, youth, or grassroots communities
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage participants at different learning levels
- Fluency in local language(s); basic English communication skills preferred
- Knowledge of gender issues, inclusion, and psychosocial development is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Human Development, or related field preferred
- Prior experience in NGO, community, or vocational training settings is desirable
