Position Description:
The MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) Senior Assistant at the Alawite Islamic Charity Association (AICA) is responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and integrity of project data across all programmatic interventions. This includes systematically monitoring project implementation, supporting timely and accurate data reporting, and promoting accountability to affected populations.
The role involves close coordination with center focal points, volunteer teams, and AICA’s communication and grants teams to consolidate evidence-based reporting and support adaptive program management. The MEAL Senior Assistant will ensure alignment with sector-specific standards, donor requirements, and internal policies, including PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) protocols and AICA’s Code of Conduct.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEAL frameworks, data analysis, and participatory evaluation methodologies. Experience using tools like Activity Info, Odoo ERP, Power BI, or Excel for data tracking and visualization is essential. The role also involves leading Rapid Needs Assessments (RNA), conducting spot checks, and facilitating feedback mechanisms to enhance program effectiveness and accountability.
