The International Organization for Migration (IOM)’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) systematically tracks and monitors cross-border movements in Lebanon. Data for this report was collected in close collaboration with the Border Control Committee, the General Directorate of General Security, the Land Border Regiments (as part of the Lebanese Armed Forces), and other key stakeholders. These entities provide data from airports, land BCPs, and seaports.
This report presents data on cross-border entries to and exits from Lebanon, covering various migratory flows, including mixed movements, returns, and pendular crossings. The analysis reflects a summary of mobility trends only and should not be interpreted as evidence of a change in migratory or asylum status. Notably, an exit from Lebanon does not necessarily indicate a return to an individual’s country of origin or habitual residence.
Between 18 July and 25 July 2025, a total of 247,708 movements were recorded across 11 (out of 16) official border crossing points (BCPs) and unofficial crossing areas. The majority (60%) were air travel movements, including 84,738 entries and 64,462 exits. Movement by land accounted for 39 per cent of all movements, with 42,587 entries and 55,541 exits. Additionally, movements by sea accounted for one per cent of the total, with 300 entries and 80 exits recorded during the reporting period.
