Major Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead facilitator in preparing weekly or daily FPSS session plans, ensuring they are age-appropriate and contextually relevant.
- Help organize materials, tools, and the physical setup of the child-friendly space before each session.
- Contribute ideas for interactive and creative activities, such as games, storytelling, drawing, or role-play, that meet session objectives.
- Actively participate in the co-delivery of FPSS sessions, following structured curricula designed to help caregivers process emotions, build resilience, and improve social skills.
- Support group management, ensuring inclusive participation from all caregivers regardless of age, gender, or ability.
- Document session attendance accurately, and assist in collecting basic feedback when required.
- Help implement safeguarding and protection protocols at all times.
- Contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and respectful space where caregivers feel heard and protected.
- Maintain close communication with the lead facilitator to ensure smooth flow of sessions.
- Attend regular training sessions on FPSS methodologies and psychological first aid.
Professional Standards:
All RMF staff are required to adhere to the RMF policies and practices with respect to child protection minimum standards, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- University degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Training in child protection, psychosocial support, or mental health is a strong asset.
- Experience at least one year in working with caregivers affected by conflict, displacement, or trauma is highly preferred.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sensitivity to cultural, gender, and protection issues.
- Results-oriented, flexible, and adaptable.
- High integrity and respect for confidentiality
