Project Officer

About the Role

MSD - Migration Services and Development is looking to hire a proactive and detail-oriented Project Officer to support the successful delivery of a short-term project. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can coordinate between multiple teams and stakeholders to achieve results. The vacancy needs to be filled the soonest, the candidate should be available to join immediately.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the Program Manager, you will:

• Track and report on project progress, budget, and resources.
• Oversee daily operations, identifying and resolving challenges.
• Coordinate and schedule team tasks to meet deadlines.
• Ensure quality standards are met in all project activities.
• Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and follow up on action points.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and donors.
• Keep project records and documentation accurate and up-to-date.
• Respond to stakeholder inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate with social workers on case discussions and monitoring.
• Participate in interviews in prisons when required.
• Work closely with the MEAL team to monitor performance and impact.
• Ensure project objectives are achieved within agreed timelines.
• Prepare clear and accurate donor reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Project Management or any related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in a humanitarian or development sector.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in donor reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management tools.
