Finance Volunteer

Background:

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, education, emergency food security, legal assistance, and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors.

Activities Overview/Summary:

The main purpose of an Finance Volunteer is to support the Finance team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure proper filing and archiving of all financial documents according to NRC standards and donor regulations.
  2. Verify that all documents are properly scanned and stored in the archive.
  3. Check and ensure the completeness and accuracy of documents before filing.
  4. Organize and maintain an accessible filing system for financial documents.

Qualifications and Relevant Skills:

  • Familiarity with computers and scanning equipment.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic both spoken and written.
  • Working with People.
  • Communicating with Impact and respect.
