JWF - Videographer for social media and advocacy campaign - tender

Brief Information of the Project

Empowering women and strengthening the resilience of vulnerable rural and urban communities in South Lebanon and Beirut is a three-year program implemented by a consortium of 3 NGOs, Justice without Frontiers, SHEILD, and JAFRA, led by Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and funded by the German Feder Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). This program aims to strengthen women's livelihoods and increase the resilience of vulnerable communities engaged in smallholder and subsistence agriculture. Justice without Frontiers’ role in this program is to ensure that gender equality is mainstreamed into all project activities, provide tailored training for women in leadership skills and business development, provide legal support, and conduct gender analysis.

Request:

JWF is seeking a professional videographer to produce Various media materials to be used in advocacy campaigns. The media material to be produced should highlight the various campaign’s key messages and objectives.

 

 

Scope of work and deliverables

a. Domestic Violence Awareness Videos

  • Film 10 short videos with high-quality video and audio capture and engage various influencers. (1 minute each video)
  • Coordinate with influencers to plan filming schedules and content structure.
  • Influencer selection will be done by the videographer with the validation of the JWF team
  • Arrange interviews, appearances, and other filming activities with influencers and celebrities.
  • Responsible for script preparation, with legal information provided by JWF.
  • Edit videos, integrating graphics and text overlays to reinforce the campaign's branding and the visibility of the project.
  • Present draft versions for feedback and approval, and make necessary revisions.
  • Subtitles must be added to the video in English.
  • Deliver the final videos in high resolution
  • Provide the draft video and the final version within 2 weeks
  • All deliverables should follow the funder’s visibility requirements
  • Estimated Number of days of filming and editing: 10 days
  • The required resolution of the video is 1920p or 1440p (as 4K)) (High Resolution)
  • The service provider must have and use their own equipment for shooting

 

b. Animated Video:

  • Produce a 2D animated video focusing on the theme of protection, which will include character animation that highlights the concept of protection, safeguarding, and care. (1 minute)
  •  The technical standards must include: 30 frames per second (fps), cool color grading, and audio in MP3 format.
  • Responsible for script preparation, with legal information provided by JWF.
  •  Edit the animated video and provide the final version
  • Deliver a draft version of the animated video within one week of filming.
  • The subtitles must be added to the video in English. Including professional voice-over.
  • Provide the final version one week after receiving feedback on the draft.
  • All deliverables should follow the funder’s visibility requirements
  • Estimated Number of days of 2 days filming and 3 days editing
  • The required resolution of the video is (HD (1920x1080 i) or 4 k 1440 i)(High Resolution)

 

 

 

 

 

c. Graffiti Event Coverage

  • Film the 3-hour Two graffiti event, including creation processes, audience reactions, and testimonials, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the event’s highlights (5 minutes each video)
  • Ensure a sound system of the videographer is available during the graffiti event
  • Edit video and share the final version
  • The subtitles must be added to the video in the English Language.
  • Provide the draft of each video within 1 week of filming and the final version 1 week after receiving feedback
  • All deliverables should follow the funder’s visibility requirements to be provided by JWF 
  • Estimated Number of days of filming 2 days and editing 3 days  
  • The required resolution of the video is (HD (1920x1080 i) or 4 k 1440 i)(High Resolution)

d. Podcasts

  • Film 14 records podcast episodes (7 every year) (15 min each episode) (Podcast equipment will be provided by JWF)
  • Edit  and  Share draft video for feedback and approval
  • Finalize podcasts for release on various social media platforms.
  • Provide the draft video within 1 week of filming and the final version 1 week after receiving feedback
  • Subtitles must be added to the video in English.
  • All deliverables should follow the funder’s visibility requirements, provided by JWF
  • Estimated Number of days of filming and editing: 18 days
  • The required resolution of the video is (HD (1920x1080 i) or 4 k 1440 i)(High Resolution)

 

 

e. Documentary:

  • Film documentary segments; a 15-minute documentary about women in agriculture in Nabatiyeh, South Lebanon, and Palestinian camps
  • Coordinate through JWF with partners of the project in the working area and present the draft storyboard for validation
  • Respect the privacy of each area and adhere to filming guidelines
  • Coordinate with a dedicated scriptwriter to develop the script, and ensure coordination between the videographer and the scriptwriter
  • Responsible for script preparation, with legal information provided by JWF.
  • The subtitles must be added to the documentary in the English Language.
  • Create a production schedule detailing filming dates, locations, and key milestones.
  • Present draft versions of the documentary for feedback and approval
  • Organize and prepare all equipment and resources needed for filming, including cameras, lighting, and audio gear.
  • Select and incorporate appropriate music and sound effects to enhance the video’s impact and appeal
  • Revise the video according to the comments provided by JWF to ensure alignment with expectations and project goals
  • Edit the documentary and add the subtitles that it is provided by JWF
  • Provide the draft video and the final version
  • The subtitles must be added to the documentary in the English Language. (the content is given by JWF) 
  • Deliver the final version for distribution across different platforms (e.g., social media, websites, presentations … ).
  • All deliverables should follow the funder’s visibility requirements provided by JWF 
  • Estimated Number of days of 5 days filming and 5 days editing  
  • The required resolution of the video is (HD (1920x1080 i) or 4 k 1440 i( High Resolution)

 

f.          3 roundtables coverage:

  • Film 3 half-day roundtables, edit videos, and provide a summary of each roundtable including testimonials from the participants. (in Beirut and South Lebanon)( 3 minutes each video )
  • Deliver the final version of the video after editing and getting comments from JWF.
  • Provide the draft video within 1 week of filming and the final version 1 week after receiving feedback
  • All deliverables should follow the funder’s visibility requirements
  • Estimated Number of days of 3 days filming and 3 days editing
  • The required resolution of the video is 720p (1280x720 pixels) (High Resolution)

 

5. Time Frame:

The total duration of the contract will be 1 year (The contract may be renewed based on satisfactory performance, mutual agreement, and availability of funds). It is important to note that some deliverables may be requested in parallel. The workload management will be coordinated with the service provider, and this coordination will be specified after each task to ensure clarity and alignment. The shooting date will be set in coordination with the videographer, approximately one weeks prior to execution.

 

 

6. Location:


The filming will take place in South Lebanon, and Palestinian camps in Beirut and South. The videographer is responsible for logistics and transportation.

 

7.   Skills and Experience required:

  • 5 years’ experience as a videographer
  • Proficiency in video recording and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
  • Expertise in camera operation, lighting, and sound equipment.
  • Strong understanding of video production techniques and best practices.
  • Experience in creating content that aligns with brand messaging and audience engagement
  • Portfolio demonstrating previous work and versatility in different styles and formats.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating complex filming schedules and logistics.
  • Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive content and interactions with influencers and celebrities.
  • Previous experience with advocacy and NGO campaigns.

 

The copyright of the final videos is fully owned by "Justice Without Frontiers," with all rights retained by the commissioning organization. The videographer can use the videos for their portfolio

Technical Evaluation 

•    Over 5 years of experience as a Videographer

  • Having connections with various influencers
  • familiarity with different types of advocacy campaigns, digital marketing, or social media platforms is desired
  • Proven experience in carrying out similar projects: Specific Experience with Advocacy or NGO Campaigns
