Within the Emergency Preparedness and Response Assistance component of the WFP-funded food security project, IOCC is recruiting Emergency third-party Monitors. The Emergency Monitor will support the implementation, facilitation, and monitoring of emergency preparedness and response operations, including the distribution of emergency hot meals, cold meals and snacks.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with school/shelter focal points to confirm meal distribution schedules prior to field visits.
- Monitor meal distribution at shelters and collect feedback from displaced persons and shelter focal points/committees.
- Report daily on the number of meals received and distributed according to WFP requirements.
- Complete WFP MODA forms and IOCC internal monitoring platforms.
- Maintain accurate records and monitoring documentation; assist in compiling, consolidating, and cleaning data for reporting purposes.
- Identify and report any challenges or gaps in the distribution process to the field supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards during meal handling and distribution.
Qualifications:
A. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate monitoring and tracking of items.
- Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with MS Office tools, spreadsheets, and data reporting tools.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize and manage tasks efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication for reporting and coordination.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify operational issues and propose practical solutions.
B. Experience:
- 0–1 year of monitoring experience.
- Experience with NGOs and humanitarian field work is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Field-based, assigned to one of three zones: Bekaa, Baalbeck, or Hermel. Commuting will be within the assigned zone only.
