Field Officer

Key Responsibilities:

Field Activity Coordination: Assist in planning and implementing field activities in line with project workplans, ensuring timely and efficient execution.

Beneficiary Engagement: Carry out outreach and verification of beneficiaries based on clearly defined selection criteria, ensuring inclusivity and fairness.

Data Management: Accurately collect and manage beneficiary data and activity records using approved tools and procedures.

Confidentiality and Ethics: Maintain high ethical standards and ensure confidentiality of sensitive beneficiary and community information at all times.

Reporting: Provide regular updates, comprehensive field reports, and incident documentation to the Project Manager in a timely and organized manner.

Recordkeeping: Ensure thorough documentation of field activities, including attendance records, distribution lists, signed forms, and photos as necessary.

Community Representation: Act as the organization’s focal point in the community, facilitating communication, engagement, and trust-building.

Accountability and Feedback: Promote and ensure implementation of accountability and community feedback mechanisms at the field level.

Safeguarding and Protection: Apply safeguarding principles and the “Do No Harm” approach consistently across all field interactions and activities.

Required Skills:

Field Coordination: Ability to manage and coordinate activities in remote or challenging environments.

Community Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with diverse community groups.

Data Collection and Management: Proficiency in using data collection tools and maintaining accurate records.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write clear reports and convey information effectively.

Problem-Solving: Ability to assess situations on the ground and make sound decisions under pressure.

Ethical Conduct: Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices, confidentiality, and safeguarding policies.

Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently, often under tight deadlines.

Teamwork: Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is everyone’s responsibility and all staff are required to adhere to the code of conduct, that enshrines the principles of PSEA, always (Both during work hours and outside work hours). Familiarization with, and adherence to, the code of conduct is an essential requirement of all staff, in addition to related mandatory training. All staff must ensure that they understand and act in accordance with this clause.
