The SILA project reflects Swisscontact’s strategic focus on empowering vulnerable communities, particularly unemployed youth, women, and micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in the construction sector. By addressing systemic challenges, SILA aims to equip individuals and businesses with the skills, tools, and opportunities needed to improve their livelihoods, foster resilience, and contribute to local economic recovery.
Swisscontact prioritizes sustainable, locally led solutions, working closely with community-based organizations and private-sector actors. These partnerships ensure that national and local stakeholders are actively engaged in shaping and implementing interventions that are contextually relevant, scalable, and impactful.
