The Field Coordinator for BML will be responsible for leading and coordinating the field implementation of a multi-area humanitarian project in Chouf, Aley, and Shheim. Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Field Coordinator will ensure timely, high-quality, and contextually relevant delivery of project activities. This role involves direct support to field teams, coordination with local stakeholders, and regular liaison with Amel’s technical and operational departments.
Duites and Responsibilities:
- Project Implementation & Coordination
- Lead the planning and implementation of activities across the three districts in coordination with the Project Coordinator.
- Ensure consistency in tools, approaches, and standards aligned with overall project methodology.
- Support outreach, beneficiary identification, service delivery, and follow-up processes.
- Provide daily oversight, mentoring, and performance monitoring for local field teams.
- Ensure staff compliance with Amel’s safeguarding, PSEA, and protection protocols.
- Support team capacity-building and facilitate internal training when needed.
- Liaise with the MEAL team to ensure effective data collection and monitoring in line with project indicators.
- Submit weekly field updates, contribute to monthly and donor reports with qualitative and quantitative inputs.
- Identify and escalate protection risks or implementation challenges as appropriate.
- Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams for smooth delivery of field-level activities.
- Ensure timely submission of procurement requests and compliance with financial procedures.
- Track activity-level spending and contribute to budget planning with the Project Coordinator and Finance team.
- Represent Amel in local coordination platforms, sector meetings, and with municipal authorities and community leaders.
- Strengthen partnerships with local stakeholders and community actors to enhance service accessibility and relevance.
- Participate in regular coordination calls/meetings with other area field coordinators to share learning and align approaches.
- Contribute to inter-area referrals and multi-sectoral responses as needed.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or related fields.
- Minimum 3–5 years of field-level experience in humanitarian or development settings.
- Previous experience in CP/GBV/CBP
- Working in BML is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of protection programming, including GBV, Child Protection, or MHPSS.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proven experience in coordination, logistics planning, and team supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in multicultural environments.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is required; French is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel frequently across the assigned areas.
