Gaza’s crisis worsens as Israeli forces prepare Gaza city attack

In the past 72 hours, the Israeli Defense Forces have intensified ground operations around Gaza City following the approval of the Gaza City offensive, deploying armored and infantry units in Zeitoun, Jabalia, and Shujaiya, and cutting key routes such as Salah al-Din Road. The encirclement has triggered over 300,000 new displacements, with families forced south into already overcrowded zones like al-Mawasi.

Humanitarian access remains critically restricted: only 15–40 aid trucks are entering Gaza daily, compared to the 500–600 needed. Meanwhile, famine conditions and the collapse of healthcare infrastructure are driving mass civilian vulnerability.

Our latest analysis outlines these developments and assesses the escalating risks for both civilians and humanitarian operations.
