Story Content Writer Storytelling Live Events

Job Purpose

To develop culturally relevant storytelling content scenarios that encourage discussion and reflection on social issues. The content will include stories that highlight the voices, experiences, and aspirations of women and girls and it will be presented in a series of public “Teta storytelling” events to inspire audiences, raise awareness, and promote positive social change.

Responsibilities

• Develop original and culturally relevant story content based on participants’ experiences and project themes.
• Ensure that stories are accessible, inspiring, and suitable for live public presentation.
• Incorporate feedback from the project team into final drafts.
• Deliver final scripts by agreed deadlines.

Deliverables

• Draft story scripts for review.
• Finalized story scripts in Arabic, ready for presentation.
• A short summary for each story highlighting the main message and intended audience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Literature, Creative Writing, Journalism, Media & Communications, Cultural Studies, or a related field.
• Proven experience in creative writing, storytelling, or content creation.
• Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity to community contexts.
• Ability to translate real-life experiences into compelling narratives.
• Excellent command of Arabic; English proficiency is an asset.
