LLWB/UK: Trainer on Leadership and Management

About the Program:  

LLWB, in partnership with UK Embassy in Lebanon aims to facilitate and increase female representation on the boards of organizations, syndicates, universities and public entities and institutions (Such as ministries and or national machineries and or public institutions) promoting gender equality and diversity in decision-making positions.  

In this program LLWB will work closely with four selected institutions (for this iteration: Public entities and institutions (Such as ministries and or national machineries and or public institutions) 

In brief, LLWB will work alongside institutions to foster more inclusive, equitable, and gender-responsive environments by mainstreaming gender across all levels of governance. LLWB and institutions will also work on embedding women's leadership — including on boards — as a core value of institutional culture through this program. 

Scope of Consultancy:                                                                                                                      
LLWB is seeking a qualified short-term trainer to conduct training on 4 different days to 4 different public institutions. The trainer is expected to give a training session for 2 or 3 hours in person, on Leadership and Management.  

Each trainer will give a training to a group of 20 women participants from each entity. The trainer will conduct a total of 4 training sessions. The profile of the participants to the trainings high level experts, professors, assistant professors, Dr. and staff, judge, from 4 public institutions from Lebanon. 

The ideal trainer should have extensive knowledge and experience in the topic addressed. They should demonstrate a proven track record of facilitating workshops in professional settings and possess strong communication interpersonal skills to effectively engage diverse audiences. Additionally, the trainer should be able to create an inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and interaction among participants. 

This will include:   

  • Targeted Leadership and Management Training where the trainer will deliver focused training sessions tailored specifically for participants from the four distinct public institutions  
  • Skill Development by equipping participants with practical skills and knowledge to implement Leadership and Management initiatives effectively. 
  • The trainer will create a customized training program presented in power point that addresses the specific Leadership and Management needs of participants, including an overview of Leadership and Management concepts, systemic biases, and strategies for creating equitable policies. 

 

Required Qualifications:                                                                                                                                               Applicants must hold a degree in business, social sciences, Law, socio-economic sciences, gender studies, or any other relevant field. The following qualifications are required;  

  • At least three years of work experience in conducting training and organizing workshops related to Leadership and Management.  
  • Great communication skills in Arabic and English 
  • Relevant experience with public Institutions in the arenas of organizational development, raising safeguarding and accountability standards.  
  • Fluency in Arabic is necessary.  
  • Ability to produce professional training sessions in English and in Arabic is required. LLWB will select the trainer for the assignment, considering the proposal submitted by the applicant, experience, and availability.  
  •  

Deliverables:   

  • Report outlining methodology and work plan of the training assignment.  
  • Send 3 to 4 questions and answers for LLWB PM and coordinator  for the pre and post-test to measure the progress of the attendees before and after the session 
  • Short Power point Presentation in Arabic and English with key learning outcomes for high level professionals that would be delivered to the participants and to LLWB, and that uses the LLWB design.  
  • A one paragraph covering the activity that was held, and the training organized with pictures and quotes from participants to be used on social media and the website. 
  • With this call for proposal, LLWB requests interested experts to express their interest and send a cover letter with clear commitment to conducting the Training, the expert needs to send a financial proposal covering all the above deliverables and ensure that MOF certification is needed.   

Note: Failing to provide these documents will lead to a deduction of the withholding tax (8.5%) as per the Lebanese Law.

How to Apply:   
Interested candidates are requested to submit the following documents to Careers@llwb.org in separate files, mentioning in the subject of the email “Trainer on Leadership and Management”  

  • An updated CV with at least 2 references. 
  • A cover letter outlining relevant experience and qualifications. In PDF, with a clear financial proposal in USD dollars covering the 2 days of training (4 sessions of 15 forms) and all the preparations and after training material to be sent to LLWB. The lumpsum sent should include all taxes.  
  • Copy of passports or IDs and Lebanese financial registration documents.
