Specific Considerations

Mandatory office visit for a presentation to be held by the program team and then to proceed with a visit to the site.   1. BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT

Oxfam is a global movement of people, working together to end the injustice of poverty. Oxfam has been working 2in Lebanon since 1993. We provide humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people affected by conflict, and we promote economic justice and good governance, and women’s rights. Oxfam also works with local partners to contribute to the protection and empowerment of marginalized women and men.

Oxfam is supporting the Syrian refugees in the rehabilitation and renovation of the water points available in the informal settlements. Therefore, Oxfam is seeking a supplier/contractor for the rehabilitation of four water points in Saaide, Talia and Houche Barada.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. SPECIFICATION OF GOODS AND SERVICES REQUIRED

Cleaning Tank

Clean and disinfect the existing plastic water tanks 6000L

Water Tank Installation and Fixation

Installation of the existing plastic water tank 6000 L  on the nearby existing steel stand. Works include fixation with steel ropes of 5mm thickness

Plastic Water Tank Cover

Supply and install plastic cover for the plastic water tank 6000 L

Feed Pipe

Fix the available 4-inch feed pipe to the 6000L plastic water tank
The work includes excavation and backfilling where needed

Steel Valve

Supply and install 1/2-inch steel ball valve (European brand or equivalent). The work includes installing a distributer HDPE line 1/2 inch with all its accessories on the four tanks and distributing these steel valves on them

Distributer HDPE Pipe

Supply and Install HDPE PIPE ½-inch with all its accessories and fittings, and connect the tents with the existing water tanks 6000L

Plastic Ball Valve

Supply and install 4-inch plastic ball valve
(European brand or equivalent)

Talia 027

Water Tap

Supply and install stainless steel water tap 1/2 inch

5. EXPERIENCE OR PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

The company/ individual(s) should have the following competencies:

  1. I.D. card for the person signing on the bid empowered by the power of attorney. 
  2. Academic / Professional qualification (CVs)
  3. Copies of original documents that demonstrate their legal establishment, registration, and status.
  4. Confirmation letter of delivery time 3 working days Please attach a pdf document.
  5. Data sheets for each item specified in the BoQ. Each data sheet must be saved as a separate file with the corresponding item name.
  6. Experience with Oxfam / NGOs / working in development/ humanitarian settings (Similar experience. Please attach a table including company name, work description.)
  7. Proficiency in the relevant market of this request (Reference of two or more clients within similar scope we need (Preferable with NGOs) (NGO Name or private client name, contact person and email, project description, locations, value of money).

Oxfam withholds the right to conduct interviews with one or more potential suppliers before an award decision is made. The purpose of the interview is to seek further clarification on the submitted quotations and learn more about the background and previous experiences of the potential suppliers and their teams.

8. CODE OF CONDUCT
