1. Background
Women in Lebanon continue to play a vital yet under-recognized role in the world of work. Within syndicates, their voices are often present but rarely heard in leadership spaces, where decisions that affect workers’, lives are made. The “Boosting Women’s Participation in Lebanon’s Public Sphere through Syndicate Leadership” project aims to change this reality by creating spaces where women and men can come together to reflect, learn, and build fairer workplaces.
As part of this project, RDFL will organize an awareness session at the syndicate’s location. The session will bring together 20 to 30 members to explore the importance of women’s participation in leadership positions and how their presence can positively influence labor rights and collective action.
2. Objective of the Assignment
The purpose of this assignment is to engage syndicate members in a meaningful discussion that:
- Highlights the value of women in leadership roles.
- Explains how women’s active participation can shape labor rights and improve working conditions.
