Role Summary
ROAA is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Proposal Writer (consultant or freelance basis) to support the organization’s fundraising and partnership efforts. The Proposal Writer will be responsible for developing high-quality concept notes, proposals, and donor applications that align with ROAA’s mission and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify funding opportunities (local, regional, and international donors).
• Draft, edit, and finalize proposals, grant applications, and donor reports.
• Collaborate with program, finance, and management teams to gather data and develop strong narratives.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, guidelines, and templates.
• Maintain a database of proposals, submissions, and donor communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in international development, social sciences, communications, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Proven experience in proposal/grant writing for NGOs or development organizations.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills in English.
• Familiarity with donor agencies.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with attention to detail.
• Experience with educational institutions or nonprofit organizations.
• Familiarity with fundraising databases and platform
• Ability to work remotely and independently.
