The WASH Field Officer will support the effective implementation of WASH activities in the field, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and compliance with organizational standards and humanitarian guidelines.
The WASH Field Officer will:
- Support the implementation of WASH activities, including water supply, sanitation, hygiene promotion, and maintenance of facilities.
- Conduct field visits to monitor program activities, identify gaps, and ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
- Assist in assessments of water and sanitation infrastructure in the targeted communities.
- Support community engagement and awareness-raising on hygiene practices and water management.
- Coordinate with local authorities, community representatives, and contractors for smooth implementation.
- Collect field data, maintain records, and prepare regular monitoring reports.
- Identify challenges and provide recommendations for program improvement.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, WASH technical standards, and humanitarian principles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Civil Engineering, Public Health, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in WASH program implementation and field monitoring.
- Knowledge of WASH standards, humanitarian guidelines, and technical interventions.
- Strong reporting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in community engagement and training is an advantage.
- Ability to work in challenging environments and travel to remote locations.
The WASH Field Officer will report to the Project Manager and work closely with field teams, community representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery.
