Policy formulation and analysis Trainer

1. Background

 The Lebanese Democratic women’s Gathering- RDFL is a secular non-governmental women's organization which works with the democratic forces and represents a part of the advocacy of secular democratic women’s movement, on the basis of international pacts and treaties, as well as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Universal Declaration on the Elimination of Violence Against Women, in order to promote women’s status and participation and empower them, aiming at achieving full equality between both sexes .

2. Objective of the Assignment

The primary objective of this assignment is to design and deliver policy formulation and analysis training to targeted women participants. The training aims to strengthen their capacity to understand policy processes, analyze key issues, and engage effectively in policymaking.

3. Scope of Work

The Trainer will be responsible for:

• Designing and developing a comprehensive policy formulation and analysis curriculum tailored to the participants’ needs.
• Conducting training session across Beirut, Mount Lebanon, and Tripoli.
• Introducing and applying tools such as stakeholder mapping and policy analysis frameworks.

4. Deliverables

• Training Curriculum: Detailed and customized to participants’ needs.
• Training Sessions: session cycle, across the 3 centers.
• Progress Reports after each cycle.
• Final Report summarizing outcomes, participant feedback, and recommendations.

5. Requirements

• A degree in public policy, political science, law, social sciences, or related field.
• Proven experience in policy formulation, analysis, and training delivery.
• Strong understanding of gender issues and women’s empowerment.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt training content to the learning needs of women participants.
• Availability to travel to Beirut, Mount Lebanon, and Tripoli.
