Program Coordinator / Delegation of the Qatar Red Crescent Society in Lebanon

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

 

A. Project Implementation and Technical Guidance

  1. Ensure the implementation of project activities in the field offices as defined by the Program Manager (PM) in coordination with relevant staff.
  2. Be directly responsible for the technical guidance, management, and implementation of the Health Programs.
  3. Support the implementation of health activities at field and community level.
  4. Effectively manage health projects using appropriate tools to ensure they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the expected quality.
  5. Ensure that required technical quality standards are adhered to in all activities and interventions, making them technically appropriate, realistic, and cost-effective.
  6. Ensure contract deliverables are met for health-related projects, and that donor and management reports are accurate and timely.

 

B. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning

  1. Participate actively in Health sector meetings and forums at district, governorate, and national levels.
  2. Participate in relevant sub-cluster meetings and other related forums at field level.
  3. Closely monitor implementation progress, compile weekly and monthly statistics, and submit activity reports to the PM.
  4. Report and communicate the progress and achievement of specific assigned objectives as per the project work plan and finalize reports with district governmental offices and concerned institutions.
  5. Organize regular evaluation meetings with team members and document outcomes.
  6. Identify and implement staff capacity-building initiatives to strengthen project delivery and sustainability.
  7. Advise on lessons-sharing methods for Health Programs at program, national, and international levels to promote learning and contribute to an overall impact assessment framework.
  8. Document and share lessons learned in a comprehensive and detailed manner to enable timely tracking of project changes.
  9. Provide written feedback when project adjustments are required to maximize impact.

 

C. Coordination and Representation

  1. Liaise with concerned authorities to ensure the programs strategy, objectives, and activities are understood and agreed upon, with appropriate communication channels in place.
  2. Coordinate with relevant sectors and agencies in implementing project activities at district and community levels.
  3. Establish and maintain networks with INGOs, UN agencies, local authorities, and other actors in the area.
  4. Develop productive working relationships with non-governmental institutions and project partners.
  5. Establish linkages with community leaders and representatives to strengthen local ownership and engagement.

 

D. Team and Internal Management

  1. Organize internal and external meetings to review project performance and ensure coordination with stakeholders.
  2. Organize monthly team meetings and report outcomes to the PM.
  3. Conduct regular meetings with project staff to discuss challenges, progress, and lessons learned.
  4. Work with the Program Manager to prepare proposals and follow up on available funding opportunities.
  5. Archive all reports, projects, and contracts systematically.
  6. Create and maintain a smooth, collaborative, and professional working environment at all levels of the project area.

 

E. Professional Standards

  1. Generate ideas to strengthen the development of health projects in Lebanon.
  2. Conduct all duties in a professional manner, adhering to QRCS regulations and donor requirements.
  3. Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks on an ongoing basis and adapt to shifting priorities, including working flexible schedules to meet deliverables.
