WARD – The Working Assembly for Rights and Dialogue is a national alliance of civil society ganizations and activists. It provides a participatory platform to advance human rights, environmental protection, humanitarian relief, and the broader civil society agenda in Lebanon.
WARD Objectives:
- National Dialogue & Coordination: Convene actors and connect initiatives to promote collaboration and shared impact.
- Evidence-Based Advocacy: Strengthen legal protection, fair funding, community participation, and transparency.
- Awareness & Capacity Building: Support NGOs and local actors through public campaigns, training sessions, and technical assistance.
- Focus Areas: Human rights, environment, and humanitarian relief.
WARD Mission: Empowering local actors and civil society organizations to coordinate community-driven efforts in human rights, environmental protection, and relief, through a participatory platform for dialogue, collaboration, advocacy, and capacity building.
WARD Vision: A united civil society for human rights, a healthy environment, and effective relief.
Who Can Participate
Participation is strictly limited to Executive Directors, Directors, or Founders of NGOs that meet the following criteria:
1. The organization is officially registered for at least two years in Lebanon.
2. Active in one or more fields of work, including but not limited to:
- Peacebuilding and conflict transformation
- Human rights and social justice
- Women’s empowerment
- Youth engagement and education
- Arts, culture, and creative expression
- Environmental sustainability and climate justice
- Humanitarian relief and community development
- Health, psychosocial support, and well-being
3.Commitment to attend the launching ceremony and to actively participate in subsequent activities and assemblies.

Date: 18 October 2025, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Location: Masabki Hotel - Chtoura
This event will mark the official launch of WARD in Lebanon, bringing together leading NGOs to set the foundation for collective action and future collaboration.
