Detailed Job Description
- Respond promptly and professionally to helpline calls.
- Listen actively and empathetically to callers’ concerns.
- Provide accurate information about Nusaned’s projects, services, and general guidance.
- Document calls accurately in the helpline database.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection standards.
- Report any urgent or serious concerns to the Helpline & Referrals Officer or PDQ Manager.
- Participate in briefings, training, and team meetings as required.
- Support awareness and promotion of the helpline services as needed.
Reports to: Helpline and Referrals Officer ; Safeguarding, AAP, and PSEA Focal Point ; PDQ Manager.
Supervisory Responsibility: -------
Collaborates and Works with: Helpline and Referrals Officer / Safeguarding, AAP. and PSEA focal point, Operations Department, Project Managers, Field Officers, MEAL & Grants Team
Knowledge and Experience
- Able to communicate effectively in Arabic.
- Basic understanding of English is a plus.
- Undergraduate student or graduate in social sciences, psychology, sociology, communications, or a related field.
- Some prior experience in call centers, volunteering with NGOs, or roles requiring direct communication with people.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to listen actively and respond with empathy.
- Comfortable handling sensitive information.
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and using databases.
- Reliable, responsible, and punctual.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
