Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the continuous availability and proper dispensing of essential medicines in line with Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) regulations and PHCC accreditation standards.
- Oversee proper storage, temperature monitoring, and documentation of medicines and vaccines; apply FEFO policy and manage expired or near-expiry stock.
- Dispense medications based on prescriptions issued within the centre, verify contraindications, and provide patient counselling on correct use and potential side effects.
- Review prescriptions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness of therapy (Medication Reconciliation).
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records, reports, and data on HIS, and submit regular consumption and needs reports to MoPH and supporting agencies.
- Participate in health education and awareness activities related to safe medication use and community health promotion.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and occupational health standards within the pharmacy.
- Supervise and evaluate pharmacy staff performance and provide guidance, orientation, and on-the-job training.
- Collaborate effectively with medical and administrative teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centred pharmaceutical care.
- Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and respectful communication with patients and colleagues.
- Engage in continuous professional development, attending training and CME activities to enhance skills and service quality.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
- License to practice from the MoPH.
- Member the Lebanese Orders of Pharmacists.
- Minimum one year of pharmacy practice.
Skills and Personal Attributes:
- Supervisory and leadership abilities.
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication across departments.
- Basic computer skills (HIS, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Proficiency in Arabic and either English or French.
