Project Accountant

Tasks:

  1. On a regular basis, ensure that financial project reports are reviewed and checked for data quality.
  2. Alert the Project Officer, Finance and Project management to any financial problems or related issues.
  3. Maintain property cash balances.
  4. Responsible for handling accounting transactions related to the project.
  5. Performing financial reconciliations related to billed and unbilled accounts receivable
  6. Follow up regularly with project officer, as well as, with suppliers on billing related matters.
  7. Assist the Project Officer and Project Management with quarterly forecast and annual budget analysis.
  8. Assist the project officer project management with the production of requested periodical report financially wise
  9. Work directly and promptly with Project Officer to correct any inaccuracies.
  10. Insure all timely payments related to the project as per contracts.
  11. Analyze and balance unbilled expenses monthly.
  12. Coordinate the submission of necessary information from project officer for improvement and assistance in the budget correction process.
  13. Assist the PRCS/L General Accounting and Project Officer in collecting outstanding accounts receivable.
  14. Keeping systematic track of all invoices/receipts received and payment made
  15. Ensure that all payments being made are considered “eligible” by PRCS/L and NLRC regulations.
  16. Ensuring bills relating to the project are accurate and paid.
  17. Prepare periodical financial reports requested for the project.
  18. Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed by the Project Officer or Project Management.
  19. Prepare invoices, ensuring they reconcile to system reports, reviewing support documentation; obtain Project Officer and project management approval and send to the suppliers in a timely fashion.
  20. Tracking project costs

 

Reports:

  • Prepare balance sheets and income statements
  • A project accountant is required to monitor expenses of the project and alert when needed and

 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong computer skills (Excel, word and accounting software.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Excellent English language
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized.
  • Experience in project-based organization
  • Strong understanding of the billing process and systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
