1. Purpose of the Assignment
The Accounting Trainer will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating a 150-Hour training Course that builds participants’ practical and theoretical knowledge of accounting in accordance with the Lebanese accounting framework. The goal is to equip youth with employable skills in accounting and bookkeeping, including the use of accounting software and compliance with Lebanese tax and labor regulations.
2. Key Responsibilities
The trainer will be responsible of:
A. Training Delivery
- Conduct interactive theoretical and practical sessions aligned with the approved syllabus.
- Deliver the following modules:
- Lebanese Accounting Framework
- Recording & Managing Accounting Entries
- Profit Tax Calculation
- Employee & User Accounts
- VAT & Payroll Declarations
- Tax Declarations Based on Fixed Profit
- Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets
- Bank Reconciliation
- NSSF Contributions
- Application on Accounting Software (entries, invoices, reports, analysis)
B. Training Management
- Prepare session plans, presentations, and exercises before each module.
- Use participatory methods and case studies to reinforce learning.
- Assign and grade quizzes, practical exercises, mid-course, and final assessments.
- Provide continuous feedback and mentorship to trainees.
- Ensure attendance and participation tracking.
C. Reporting and Coordination
- Submit weekly progress reports and final evaluation reports to the Project Coordinator.
- Participate in coordination meetings with WPA/ANERA staff.
- Recommend improvements for future training cycles.
3. Deliverables
- Training Plan and Schedule (Week 1)
- Session Materials and Exercises for all modules
- Final Summary Report (including trainees’ performance and recommendations)
4. Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting or auditing.
- Demonstrated experience as a trainer or lecturer in accounting.
- Proficiency in Lebanese accounting standards, tax regulations, and NSSF rules.
- Strong command of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, or similar).
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Prior experience working with NGOs or youth development programs is an asset.
5. Supervision and Reporting
The trainer will report directly to the WPA Project Coordinator
6. Working Conditions
- Training sessions will be held in-person at WPA’s center in Beddawi Camp
- WPA will provide the necessary training materials, venue, and logistical support.
- The trainer will be hired on a short-term consultancy basis.
Payment schedule:- 40% upon submission of training plan and completion of first month
- 30% upon mid-course report
- 30% upon submission of final report
