About the role:
The Case Management Supervisor will work on Amel’s Protection Project under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, with regular coordination with the field coordinators and other relevant team members.
The Case Management Supervisor will oversee the Protection and CP Case Workers based in Mount Lebanon, Bekaa, the South, and the North regions, ensuring that all case management activities meet quality standards and are implemented in line with Protection and Child Protection (CP) principles, as well as Amel’s internal policies and the national SOPs.
The Supervisor will provide technical guidance, coaching, and oversight to the case workers to ensure consistent, survivor- and child-centered responses, as well as accurate reporting and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversight and Supervision
- Supervise and support Protection and CP Case Workers in implementing high-quality case management services for vulnerable individuals, including children and families.
- Conduct regular case reviews, ensuring adherence to national and organizational protection and CP standards.
- Provide technical input on complex cases, ensuring safe, ethical, and timely decision-making.
- Promote a protection-sensitive and child-centered approach throughout all case management activities.
- Ensure case files and documentation are properly maintained, updated, and stored in accordance with confidentiality and data protection principles.
2. Coaching and Capacity Building
- Provide continuous on-the-job coaching and mentoring to Case Workers to strengthen their skills in case management, PSS, and referral pathways.
- Identify training needs and deliver or coordinate capacity-building sessions in collaboration with the Project Coordinator.
- Support team learning and reflective practice through regular team meetings, supervision sessions, and case conferences.
- Encourage adherence to best practices and promote staff well-being and professional growth.
3. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
- Ensure regular monitoring of case management activities and quality of service delivery in all regions.
- Review and verify data collected by Case Workers and ensure timely entry and submission to M&E officers and reporting systems (e.g., Activity Info).
- Submit regular supervision summaries, highlighting key challenges, trends, and recommendations.
- Support the Project Coordinator in drafting monthly and donor reports, when needed.
4. Coordination and Representation
- Maintain regular communication and coordination with the Project Coordinator, Field Coordinators, and other team members to ensure coherence of activities across all regions.
- Liaise with local authorities, community leaders, and service providers to strengthen referral pathways and coordination mechanisms.
- Represent Amel in protection and case management coordination meetings when requested.
- Promote collaboration and information sharing across regions to ensure harmonized service delivery.
Other Duties:
- Respect and adhere to Amel’s Code of Conduct, Protection Policy, Child Safeguarding Policy, and PSEA standards.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all case management data and information.
- Participate in internal and external trainings, meetings, and supervision sessions as required.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Project Coordinator related to the implementation of the Protection project.
Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, Humanitarian Affairs, or another relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, including at least 2 years in case management supervision or protection programming.
- In-depth knowledge of Protection and Child Protection principles, including the National CP SOPs, Inter-Agency Case Management Guidelines, and PSEA framework.
- Demonstrated experience in team supervision, coaching, and staff development.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative and problem-solving mindset.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Willingness to conduct regular field visits to different areas (Mount Lebanon, Bekaa, South, and North).
