Detailed Job Description

Social Media & Content Creation

  • Develop, manage, and implement the organization’s social media strategy, including content creation, posting, and monitoring across platforms.
  • Create engaging social media content, including posts, graphics, and videos that reflect Nusaned’s mission, values, and program impact.
  • Collect and curate stories, photos, and videos from field teams to highlight community voices and program achievements.
  • Design graphics and visual materials to support social media content, campaigns, and other communication needs.
  • Maintain a monthly content calendar aligned with organizational priorities, project timelines, and donor visibility requirements.
  • Community Engagement & AAP/Safeguarding Support
  • Monitor comments, messages, and inquiries across social media channels and ensure timely, respectful, and professional responses.
  • Receive, log, classify, and escalate community complaints, concerns, and feedback to the relevant departments in line with Nusaned’s AAP and Safeguarding procedures.
  • Coordinate closely with the Safeguarding/PSEA Focal Point to ensure sensitive complaints are referred and documented through secure pathways.
  • Track trends in community perception, highlight recurring issues, and recommend improvement

Reporting & Analytics

  • Monitor social media analytics and engagement performance; provide monthly reports with recommendations for improved reach, visibility, and audience interaction.
  • Prepare narrative and visual content for monthly, quarterly, or donor-specific reports when requested.
  • Document success stories and community testimonies to support fundraising, advocacy, and visibility.

Communication & Coordination

  • Collaborate with PDQ, Programs, MEAL, P&C, and Field staff to ensure communication materials are accurate, updated, and aligned with project objectives.
  • Support awareness and outreach campaigns, ensuring messages are clear, accessible, and aligned with CHS and safeguarding standards.
  • Ensure consistent branding, ethical communication, and “Do No Harm” principles across all public-facing content.
  • Support the Communication Manager in planning and executing public events, media engagements, and visibility activities.

General Responsibilities

  1. Uphold confidentiality, integrity, and responsible data management, especially regarding images and testimonies from vulnerable groups.
  2. Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Communication Manager.

Collaborates and Works with: PDQ Manager, Department Heads, People & Culture,Project Managers, MEAL, field officers, safeguarding & AAP focal point, and volunteers

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Social Sciences, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in social media management, digital communications, community engagement, or related fields.
  • Experience within NGOs or humanitarian organizations is strongly preferred.
  • Strong content creation abilities (visual and written), with attention to accuracy and storytelling.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (Canva required; Adobe Suite preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Arabic and English (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical skills for reading insights and translating data into recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize under pressure, and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with AAP, PSEA, ethical communication, and informed consent procedures is an asset.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
