GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Communications Coordinator leads and oversees the internal and external communications of Embrace. This includes the planning and implementation of online and offline campaigns, brand visibility, photoshoots, website, media platforms, stakeholder engagement, public awareness efforts, and content development. The Communications Coordinator supervises the communications team, coordinates across departments, and ensures that the organization’s voice is cohesive, professional, and aligned with its mission and values.
The Communications Coordinator works closely with the Managing Director, Communications Officer, Creative Team, and other Embrace departments to ensure coherent, high-quality, and timely communication across all platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Communication Leadership
- Develop and implement Embrace’s annual communications strategy in alignment with organizational priorities.
- Strengthen brand identity and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms and public materials.
- Lead on media positioning, visibility planning, risk communication, and crisis communication when needed.
- Provide strategic guidance to leadership on communication opportunities, partnerships, and emerging trends.
Content Strategy & Digital Engagement
- Oversee the development and execution of the monthly content calendar.
- Ensure high-quality content development across social media, website, newsletters, and campaigns.
- Review and approve captions, storytelling pieces, visual content, and messaging guidelines.
- Ensure timely, professional engagement with online communities across all platforms.
- Monitor trends in digital communication and identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
Campaign Development & Implementation
- Design and oversee mental-health awareness campaigns, including concept development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure campaigns reflect program goals and organizational values.
- Oversee paid promotional strategies and ensure alignment with audience targeting goals.
Media Relations & Public Representation
- Serve as Embrace’s primary focal point for media outreach, interviews, and press relations.
- Maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, influencers, and strategic communication partners.
- Review and approve media responses, press releases, and talking points.
- Track and archive media coverage and ensure accurate representation of Embrace’s work.
Website, Publications & Documentation
- Oversee website content, structure, updates, and technical coordination with developers.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of online information.
- Lead the development of newsletters, annual reports, and communication assets for donors and partners.
Monitoring, Analytics & Reporting
- Track communication performance using analytics, insights, and KPIs across digital platforms.
- Develop, compile and copyright material for newsletters and annual report.
- Produce quarterly communication reports in collaboration with the team.
- Use data to refine communication strategies, improve engagement, and support organizational visibility
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Supervise communication staff (officers, coordinators, interns, creative contributors).
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Establish workflows, quality standards, and approval processes for communication outputs.
- Ensure smooth coordination with Programs, Lifeline, Grants, Research, and other departments.
QUALIFICATONS
- Critical Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or any relevant specialism including Social Sciences.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in communications or a relevant field.
- Fluency in English and Arabic. French is a plus.
- Demonstrates proficient knowledge in Social Medica Platforms and Website CMS (WordPress).

TIME COMMITMENT
- 40 hours work office per week (Full Time)
- Meetings with Embrace Leadership and communications team as requested.
REPORTING LINES
The Communications Coordinator reports to the Managing Director and works closely with Embrace team members and departments.
