Driver

The driver will be responsible for providing IOCC North Team with safe transportation, logistics and administrative work required to perform their job. The driver will adhere to all traffic and IOCC safety rules and follow the transport guidelines required by the IOCC transport department.

• Operate IOCC vehicles as assigned by supervisor
• Maintain vehicle log-sheets in accordance with IOCC policies/regulations
• Check the vehicle conditions after each trip/routinely – report needs and problems to transport management
• Adhere to all safety and communication protocols as advised by IOCC and supervisor 
• Responsible for the safekeeping of all vehicle equipment, tools, first aid kits, spares etc..  
• Keep the vehicle ready, clean and on standby – ready for use at all times   
• Assist, as required, with logistics in the office and daily workloads 
• Cooperate and be of assistance to staff and visitors to the north office
• Report all maintenance needs of the vehicle to transport management on a regular basis
• Undertake field assignments as assigned 
• Adhere to all IOCC policies and procedures as outlined in IOCC policies and procedure manuals
• Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to IOCC and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission in country of operation 
• Assess the needs and oversee the installation of office equipment, utilities (stationary, photocopier, furniture, water, electricity, etc.)
• Act as a stock controller when needed, in charge of inventory in and out movements of North Wearhouse
• Participate in inventory count when requested
• Conduct visits to IOCC Beirut for the delivery and signature of needed documents and goods
• Support loading, unloading, carrying and distributing all kinds of inventory items in his vehicle
• Deliver refreshments, medical items to the health dispensaries and working areas
• Drive to all the locations over North Lebanon province (Akkar, Tripoli/T5 and suburbs)
• Keep confidentiality according to IOCC standards and the privacy of beneficiaries
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA): 

• Punctual, Organized
• Familiar with areas in North and Akkar
• Ability to use GPS apps (Google maps)
• Initiative taker and problem solver
• Good verbal communication, and ability to communicate with vulnerable population 
• Good physical condition (ability to carry and lift boxes, load and unload vehicle etc....)

Experience:  

• 3 years of driving experience in Lebanon.
• Previous experience with an international NGO, and in a humanitarian field is an advantage
• A valid driving license

Working Conditions

Covering field visits in Tripoli and Akkar. Stationed in the office in Tripoli.
