MMHC Clinic Assistant On Field

A. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Mobile Clinic Assistant is a team member of the Mobile Mental Health Clinic (MMHC), a traveling clinic that provides free psychiatric consultations to residents in various regions of Lebanese governorates. They play a key role in ensuring the smooth implementation of field visits for the MMHC, by coordinating appointments with beneficiaries, managing logistics on-site, and acting as the primary liaison between the beneficiaries and the clinical team. Additionally, they support the Project Coordinator in planning and organizing field operations to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.

B.  MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Field Engagement & Beneficiary Support

  • Attend weekly field visits (approximately 3–4 days per week).
  • Greet and assist beneficiaries during MMHC visits, supporting them in completing intake forms and ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Schedule appointments with beneficiaries and manage the appointment log.
  • Actively promote MMHC services during on-site visits.
  • Support the mental health professionals in conveying critical information to beneficiaries, including instructions, referrals, and contact details for further support.

2. Communication & Follow-Up

  • Respond to all MMHC-related telephone inquiries within one working day.
  • Maintain callback records and provide timely follow-up with beneficiaries regarding appointments, instructions from practitioners, or rescheduling needs.
  • Assist the Project Coordinator in coordinating the field visits with the different focal points.

3. Data Management & Reporting

  • Accurately record all beneficiary data into Embrace’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Assist in collecting and completing required surveys for donors and internal monitoring.
  • Support reporting efforts by providing field observations and documentation when requested.

4. Operational & Logistical Support

  • Ensure the mobile clinic remains clean, well-maintained, and operational, in coordination with the Project Coordinator, the MMHC driver, and logistics officer.
  • Assist in preparing materials and equipment for field visits.
  • Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and trainings as needed.

  • Respect for confidentiality and sensitivity in working with vulnerable individuals.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
  • Computer and digital literacy (e.g., data entry, mobile apps, Excel).
  • E. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Previous experience in community-based, outreach, or mental health programs is an asset.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
  • Familiarity with electronic health systems or digital data entry tools is desirable.

D. REPORTING LINES

The clinic assistant (on field) reports to the Project Coordinator and the Programs Manager.

E. WORK LOCATION

Field visits 3 to 4 days per week in different locations all over Lebanon (North, Beqaa, Mount Lebanon, South)
