A. Development of Microplans
- National Microplan:
- Review existing immunization policies, guidelines, and strategies.
- Develop a national-level HPV microplan outlining coordination mechanisms, roles and responsibilities, implementation timelines, and resource needs.
- District-Level Microplans:
- Develop 26 detailed district microplans covering and 1 national macro-plan:
- Target population identification (school-based, PHC, and outreach).
- Mapping of schools and PHCs.
- Estimation of vaccine needs, supplies, and logistics.
- Human resource planning and training requirements.
- Social mobilization and communication strategies.
- Monitoring and reporting mechanisms.
- Conduct field consultations with district health teams and stakeholders to validate plans.
- Develop 26 detailed district microplans covering and 1 national macro-plan:
B. Monitoring and Supportive Supervision
- Conduct field visits to PHC centers to monitor HPV vaccine implementation readiness.
- Develop monitoring tools and checklists for ongoing supervision.
- Provide coaching and feedback to PHC staff on best practices in HPV vaccine delivery.
- Document challenges, lessons learned, and good practices for continuous improvement.
C. Capacity Building and Hands-on Support
- Conduct training for district-level supervisors and PHC staff on HPV vaccine implementation, including:
- Vaccine administration.
- Record-keeping and reporting.
- Cold chain and waste management.
- Communication with parents and adolescents.
- Provide on-site mentoring and hands-on practice sessions during initial implementation.
