Senior FPSS Facilitator

Terre des hommes - Lausanne is seeking a qualified Senior FPSS Facilitator based in Bekaa (Baalbek and Hermel districts).

 

Job Purpose / Main Functions:

The Senior FPSS Facilitator will oversee the implementation of FPSS activities for children at medium to high risk and their caregivers, both within Tdh and in collaboration with local partners. This role ensures that all FPSS activities adhere to organizational and interagency guidelines and contributes to building resilience and enhancing the well-being of vulnerable children, youth at risk, and their caregivers.

The Senior FPSS Facilitator is responsible for ensuring that all activities have a positive and lasting impact on children and caregivers, promoting emotional, psychological, and social well-being, while strengthening caregivers’ parenting skills.

 

The key responsibilities of this position are to:

• Oversee the development and implementation of age-appropriate psychosocial activities for children at medium to high risk and their caregivers, fostering resilience, well-being, and caregiver capacity.

• Ensure all FPSS activities are non-discriminatory, age- and gender-sensitive, and aligned with best practices and established guidelines.

• Facilitate the active participation of children and youth in psychosocial activities, creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment.

• Contribute to monitoring and evaluation (M&E) efforts, tracking outcomes, and ensuring alignment with protection objectives.

• Ensure that children and youth consistently feel safe, respected, and emotionally secure throughout program participation.

The Senior FPSS Facilitator plays a central role in maintaining the quality, consistency, and positive impact of child protection and psychosocial support activities, supporting the emotional and psychological recovery and empowerment of vulnerable children and youth.
