Oxfam is an organisation that works to address the causes of poverty through campaigning and responding to the needs of the poor. In Lebanon, Oxfam works in both development and humanitarian contexts, focusing particularly on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH), Protection and Emergency Food Security and Livelihoods.
Oxfam works with women’s groups to identify protection risks and develop action plans to prevent and mitigate threats.
Oxfam has conducted consultations with community members to validate the findings of the women groups and identify the priorities of the communities to define the conditions in which their rights can be restored and preserved.
As part of its community-based protection intervention, Oxfam will support the targeted communities implement locally led initiatives to enhance the self-protection capacity of the community and will provide emergency grab bags kits to strengthen preparedness and safety.
Women group Action Plan
The project aims to distribute emergency grab bags to communities affected by multiple displacements and fear of deportation (women group action plan- First Aid Kit)
