Fundraising and Program Coordinator

Fundraising and Development: (70%) 

Fundraising & Reporting: Writing funding proposals and generating reports on program status

Spearheading fundraising efforts, building relationships with donors and sponsors, and securing the financial health of the organization.

Stakeholder Engagement: Acting as the primary spokesperson for the organization, engaging with the community, media, and other partners.

Operational Management: (30%)

Overseeing the day-to-day activities, ensuring programs and services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Board Collaboration: Liaising between the staff and the board of directors, providing them with necessary information for informed decision-making and implementing their directives.

Staff Leadership: Leading and managing the staff and volunteers, fostering a positive work culture, and ensuring proper human resource policies are in place and duly implemented .Overseeing daily activities, managing staff, controlling budgets and expenses, ensuring quality and safety, and handling logistics (HR, security, finance).

Monitoring & Evaluation: Support the Meal and Program department, track progress, report on outcomes, and identify areas for improvement

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, International Relations, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Finance, or Public Administration.

A Master’s degree is an asset.

Professional Experience

Minimum 4–6 years of progressively responsible experience in coordination, fundraising, grants, or organizational management within NGOs or civil society organizations.

Strong, proven experience in fundraising, including developing funding strategies, writing successful proposals, donor reporting, and managing donor relationships with institutional and private donors.

Demonstrated experience in budget planning, financial monitoring, and cost control, in close coordination with finance teams.

Solid hands-on experience with procurement processes, including preparation of procurement plans, compliance with internal procedures and donor procurement guidelines, supplier selection, and documentation.

Proven ability to ensure compliance with donor and organizational financial and procurement regulations, including audit readiness.

Experience overseeing operational expenditures, contracts, and service agreements.

Prior experience liaising with boards of directors and senior management is an asset.

Technical Skills

Excellent proposal writing and narrative and financial reporting skills.

Strong understanding of project cycle management and donor compliance requirements.

Good working knowledge of budgeting tools, financial tracking systems, and procurement documentation.

Familiarity with MEAL frameworks and the use of data for reporting, learning, and fundraising.

Ability to analyze financial data and link program performance to budget utilization.

Leadership & Coordination Skills

Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate cross-departmentally (program, finance, HR, logistics).

Strong capacity to represent the organization externally with donors, partners, and stakeholders.

Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

Personal Competencies

High level of integrity and accountability, particularly in financial and procurement management.

Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, especially for fundraising and partnerships.
