The Nawaya Network is an NGO based in Beirut, Lebanon that develops the income-generating opportunities of youth through entrepreneurship, employability, and economic development programs.
We are seeking a Regional Field and Learning Lead to fulfill the below tasks and responsibilities:
- Assists in conducting MSMEs mapping and needs assessment in the Bekaa and South regions
- Conducts outreach activities with the Field Manager, including introductory sessions on Nawaya’s training, incubation, and employability programs.
- Liaises with municipalities, chambers of commerce, educational institutions, local CSOs, and existing businesses to support outreach, venue preparation, participant engagement, and identification of internship, job shadowing, and booster training opportunities.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with beneficiaries to identify support needs, referrals, and potential success stories for communications purposes.
- Communicate program-related information to beneficiaries, including onboarding into the Nawaya Alumni Facebook group.
- Coordinates day-to-day field activities related to MSME support, employability, and entrepreneurship components.
- Ensures training sessions and field activities run smoothly from a logistical and participant-management perspective, addressing issues as they arise and communicating them promptly to the Program Coordinator and Program Manager.
- Attends training sessions as an active observer and relays implementation challenges, risks, or improvement areas to the Program Coordinator and Program Manager.
- Organizes and support peer-to-peer meetings, mentorship events, exhibitions, fundraisers, and public events involving beneficiaries.
- Troubleshoots implementation bottlenecks and provides regular (weekly) field progress updates to the Program Coordinator and Program Manager.
- Acts as the primary field focal point between the field team and the MEAL Unit.
- Leads field-level data collection and validation for all relevant indicators, including training completion, MSME performance, and employment outcomes.
- Distributes MEAL tools to beneficiaries and reviews all collected documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper organization (attendance sheets, registration forms, baseline/endline surveys, trainer surveys, and other required tools).
- Ensures timely and accurate integration of MEAL data into the Tahaki system.
- Maintains close and proactive communication with the M&E Specialist to address delays, missing data, or discrepancies and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines.
- Ensures data quality through spot checks, beneficiary feedback sessions, and triangulation of quantitative and qualitative data.
- Supports gender- and age-disaggregated reporting, and document field success stories and case studies.
- Conducts regular verification visits to MSMEs with coaches to assess progress against KPIs and collect qualitative insights.
- Facilitates community-level reflection and learning sessions and contributes verified field data and analytical summaries to quarterly and annual reporting.
- Identifies and coordinates with local suppliers in the South region in collaboration with the Field Manager, Coaches, Finance Manager, and Procurement Manager.
- Supports funded beneficiaries during the procurement and purchasing process in the field, in coordination with Coaches, the Program Coordinator, and the Procurement Manager, as required during the incubation and grant implementation stages.
- Supports communications activities during events by coordinating logistical elements (e.g., banners), ensuring photos are taken in line with guidelines, and coordinating with the Comms team for timely posting and visibility.
- Supports the documentation of beneficiary stories and field activities for internal and external communications.
- Ensures proper documentation, archiving, and filing of all field, procurement, and MEAL-related documents in line with Nawaya’s internal policies and procedures.
- Ensures issuance of training certificates and accurate completion of attendance records at the beginning of each training session.
- Implements any additional tasks as communicated by Program Manager and Nawaya's Top Management.
Education:
University Degree required, preferably in a related field (data science, business analytics, public policy, international development, statistics, economics).
Graduate degree in a related field a plus.
Experience:
At least 4 year working experience in the field, preferably in rural areas - Experience in MEAL related tasks is a must- Experience in procurement is a plus. NGO Experience is a preferred.
