Role Overview
The Educator is responsible for supervising and supporting primary school students in an after-school study center. The role focuses on academic assistance, homework support, and the overall well-being of students in a structured and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support primary school students during after-school hours according to a full and structured agenda.
- Assist students with homework, revision, and school assignments.
- Reinforce learning concepts covered during the school day.
- Encourage positive study habits, time management, and autonomy.
- Maintain a calm, safe, and disciplined learning environment.
- Observe students’ academic progress and behavior, and report concerns when needed.
- Communicate with center’s administration regarding students’ performance and progress when required.
- Work closely with psychologists, and administration to support student development.
- Collaborate with the center’s team and follow established educational guidelines.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Background or training in Education, Teaching, or a related field.
- Experience working with primary school children is an asset.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Patient, responsible, and supportive attitude.
- Ability to manage a busy after-school schedule effectively.
French is a must.
