Inclusive Environmental Education – Curriculum Adaptation and Training Company, NGO, or group of individuals (hereinafter referred to as the “Consultant”

 

Scope of Work

The Consultant will be responsible for mobilizing a qualified team and carrying out the following tasks:

Review project objectives and materials, including existing environmental education curriculum (in Arabic language).

Visit the Arisheh Ecological Center to identify relevant opportunities for inclusive adaptation and to become familiar with the implementation setting where the inclusive environmental education sessions for children and youth will be conducted.

Develop and tailor a structured set of inclusive environmental sessions, detailing their objectives/outcomes, accessibility features, step-by-step implementation, facilitation guidance, and practical aspects such as location, duration, group size, required accessibility materials, and safety considerations.

Facilitate participatory consultations with disability-focused organizations, people with disabilities, caregivers, and other stakeholders supporting children with disabilities to inform and validate curriculum design and adaptation.

Ensure that the created materials align with universal design for learning (UDL) principles, inclusive education best practices, are culturally sensitive and age-appropriate.

Develop a detailed proposal presenting the methodology and implementation plan for the curriculum adaptation and training activities.

In collaboration between the curriculum consultant and trainer mobilized by the consltant, design training materials that facilitate the implementation of the adapted curriculum to ensure inclusivity and accessibility.

Design and deliver four interactive training days for a selected group of animators to introduce the adapted curriculum and train them in its effective and practical usage. The workshops will take place in Wadi el Karm.

After the training, oversee the animators’ preparation and application of the inclusive activities at the Arisheh Ecological Center with groups of children, support them through coaching, and revise the curriculum as necessary.
Eight (8) to Ten (10) follow-up visits should be planned.

 

4. Deliverables

The consultant will deliver the following:

Final technical proposal or Inception Report including work plan, curriculum adaptation, methodology, and tools.

Adapted Curriculum integrating inclusive and accessibility elements, developed in draft form for review by ALPHA and finalized based on ALPHA’s feedback and the follow-up visits.

Four (4)-Day Training Workshop delivered to the animators, including hand-outs, PowerPoints, Word documents or other materials, as well as pre- and post-tests.

Follow-up and coaching of the animators on the application of the adapted curriculum at the Arisheh Ecological Center with groups of children.

Final Report for the training summarizing all activities carried out, along with key lessons learned and actionable recommendations

5. Duration and Location

The consultancy will be implemented on a part-time basis between February and May 2026.
All activities related to curriculum adaptation and delivery of training shall be completed no later than 28 February 2026.
Follow-up, mentoring, and coaching of the animators—covering both the preparation and implementation of planned activities—will be carried out from March through May 2026.
Activities may be conducted partially through remote work; however, in-person and/or virtual coordination and technical support sessions shall be organized as required. The consultancy includes a minimum of ten (10) on-site visits to the A’risheh Ecological Center, covering both initial assessments and follow-up support.

 

6. Reporting and Coordination

Within ALPHA, the consultant will work in close collaboration with the program coordinator, the project director, the capacity building manager, and the program officer.

Interested candidates must submit:
1. A detailed technical proposal outlining their understanding of the assignment, proposed methodology, tools, workplan, time frame, team structure, roles and responsibilities. (with clear distinction between the consultant and the trainer). 

2. A detailed financial proposal. (with clear distinction between the consultant and the trainer).

For a company provides the Establishment contract, for NGO provides Public Benefit Decree or Notice and Acknowledgement, for a professional individual and sole proprietorship provides a signed written statement of the activity of the individual or sole proprietorship. 

For a company Provides information on is structure (Name of directors of the company / partners / shareholders), for NGO provide information about the Names of  board members and main directors, for a professional individual provides an identity Card of the owner. 

A list of personnel involved in the assignment/consultancy, including their names, positions, relevant experience, and detailed CVs highlighting relevant experience. 

For all candidates, provide if it exists a Commercial circular & Commercial Register شهادة_تسجيل_شركة + اذاعة_تجارية . 

For all candidates, provide Letter from the Bank about the details of the bank FRESH Account under the company name.

For all candidates, provide ID of authorized Signatory مفوض بالتوقيع

For all candidates, provide a certified copy of tax registration, similar documents (Vat Document if existed).

For all candidates, provide last two years of audited financial statements or last two tax filings, or similar documents 

For all candidates, provide references from previous customers (minimum 3 references for similar projects with same nature to the one in this tender).

Remark: All applications must include the above related requested documents; otherwise, they will be rejected.

Evaluation based on technical expertise and experience, quality of the adaptation proposal, and the professional references.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited for interviews or to present their proposed methodology.
