WFP Yemen Situation Report #12, 15 January 2026

  • WFP and its partners are providing emergency food assistance to families displaced by recent hostilities in Hadramawt governorate.
  • Beneficiary registration is underway for WFP’s new targeted emergency food assistance programme in areas under the internationally recognized Government.
  • Severe funding shortages is forcing WFP to strictly prioritize limited resources. Incoming contributions declined by more than 70 percent from 2024 to 2025.
  • WFP continues to call for the release of the 38 staff members detained by the Sana’a-based authorities. All activities in northern Yemen remain suspended.
