General objective of the job:
AND seeks the support of a qualified Trainer to empower girls with practical self-defense skills, confidence, and awareness, enabling them to protect themselves, build resilience, and foster a sense of personal safety in everyday life.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct self-defense classes focusing on practical techniques (blocking, escaping holds, situational awareness).
- Adapt training to different age groups and physical abilities.
- Educate participants on risk assessment and avoidance strategies.
- Promote awareness of safe practices in public and private spaces.
- Provide guidance on handling stressful or threatening situations calmly.
- Design structured lesson plans.
- Organize workshops, seminars, or awareness campaigns.
- Maintain attendance and progress records.
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate self-defense sessions.
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive training environment.
- Encourage discipline, confidence, and respect among participants.
- Uphold ethical standards and gender-sensitive approaches.
Deliverables
- Training schedules and lesson plans.
- Progress reports on participants’ skill development.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:
- Certified martial arts/self-defense instructor (female) with recognized training.
- Experience teaching self-defense to children or adolescents, preferably girls.
- Knowledge of first aid and injury prevention.

Reporting
The self-defense trainer shall report to the project manager.
