CP Case worker

Job Purpose

The CP Case worker will be working on Amel’s Protection project alongside with other team members under the supervision of the CP Officer and Field Coordinator. He/She is based in one of Amel’s centers “Tyre”. He/She coordinates and reports on the implementation of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Case Management and Direct Support

  • Provide individual case management services including assessment, action planning, referral, follow-up, and case closure, in line with the National CP SOPs.
  • Deliver age-appropriate psychosocial support to children and caregivers through structured sessions in safe spaces or during field activities.
  • Conduct home visits and identify vulnerable children and families through internal and external referrals.
  • Ensure that case files and data are accurately documented, safely stored, and handled confidentially in compliance with data protection standards.
  • Flag high-risk or urgent cases requiring judicial or specialized intervention to the CP Officer and, the BMLS Case Management Supervisor immediately.
  • Participate in regular case reviews to ensure that all interventions serve the child’s best interest.
  • Accompany children to external service providers (health, rehabilitation, MHPSS, etc.) when necessary.

Coordination and Collaboration

  • Work closely with the CP Officer and Field Coordinator to ensure a coordinated, holistic response to identified cases.
  • Maintain updated service mapping of partners and stakeholders in the area of operation.
  • Contribute to strengthening referral pathways and report any service gaps or challenges to the supervisor or program coordinator.
  • Attend internal meetings, trainings, and inter-agency coordination events as required.

Monitoring, Reporting, and Compliance

  • Use relevant monitoring and evaluation tools for all project activities and ensure quality implementation.
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to the principles and guidance of the National Child Protection Case Management SOPs, including mandatory reporting procedures.

Capacity Building and Other Duties

  • Participate in regular supervision, coaching, and capacity-building activities.
  • Complete all required online and in-person training courses.
  • Support other team members when needed and maintain positive, collaborative relationships within the team.
  • Perform other relevant duties as requested by the CP Officer or Field Coordinator.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Child Protection or case management within NGOs or humanitarian settings.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection principles, case management standards, and psychosocial support approaches in humanitarian contexts.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments and under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
