The Finance Officer will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of Key Of Life’s projects. This includes ensuring accurate accounting, compliance with donor and internal regulations, and providing regular financial reporting. The Finance Officer will collaborate with program staff, partners, and management to ensure sound budget management and support the project's financial viability and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Budget Management
Support program teams in developing and revising project budgets to align with goals and donor requirements.
Monitor budget utilization and provide periodic budget versus actual reports.
2. Financial Reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Prepare and submit timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Present financial data to project managers and senior management as needed.
3. Expense Tracking and Payments
Process all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
Maintain proper documentation and secure approvals for all expenses and payments.
4. Compliance and Audit
Ensure adherence to national financial regulations, donor policies, and internal financial procedures.
Facilitate internal and external audits by providing the necessary documentation.
5. Financial Analysis
Analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
Support project teams with financial insights to inform decision-making.
6. Cash Flow and Payroll Management
Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure availability of funds for project needs.
Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax and labor laws.
Administer employee benefits and deductions.
7. Financial Systems
Use accounting software and financial tools to ensure transparency, consistency, and efficiency in financial operations.
