Position Summary:
The Project Implementation Volunteer will support SPHERE Building Tomorrow (SBT) in the implementation of community-based activities and development projects. The volunteer will assist the project team in organizing activities, supporting community engagement initiatives, and providing logistical and operational assistance during project implementation. Activities may include support to community kitchens, community mobilization, and field activities, and other development initiatives carried out by SBT.
Working Conditions
Volunteer position, based on project needs and activity schedules. The volunteer will work on-site and may participate in administrative and field activities and community-based initiatives.
Reporting:
S/He will report to the Lead Volunteers, or the Field Coordinator
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the project team in the implementation of community-based activities and development projects.
- Support activities related to community kitchens, other community projects, or administrative work, including organization, preparation, and coordination of activities when needed.
- Participate in community mobilization activities and support engagement with community members and beneficiaries.
- Assist in organizing awareness, trainings facilitation, events, workshops, meetings, and community outreach activities.
- Provide logistical support during response or project activities, including preparation of materials, coordination of participants, and on-site assistance.
- Support the project team in collecting basic information or feedback from beneficiaries during activities.
Assist in documenting activities through basic reporting, photos, or activity notes when requested. - Contribute to maintaining a positive and respectful relationship with community members and project stakeholders.

EDUCATION:
BA or High school diploma preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous volunteering or community engagement experience is an asset but not required.
Interest in community work, social initiatives, or development projects is highly valued.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with diverse communities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team in community and field-based activities.
• Interest in social initiatives and supporting local community activities.
• Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and support multiple activities when needed.
• Flexible, self-motivated, and willing to participate in field and community-based work.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing tasks responsibly.
• Basic knowledge of participatory approaches, community mobilization techniques, or rural initiatives is an asset.
• Fluency in Arabic; basic knowledge of professional English is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office tools or similar digital tools is considered a plus.
