Lifeskills /Psychosocial Support (PSS) Facilitator (Female Only)

Key Responsibilities

1. Session Planning and Implementation

  • Design and deliver structured PSS and life skills sessions for girls (10–19 years old).
  • Facilitate interactive sessions on:
    • Roles and rights of girls
    • Decision-making and problem-solving
    • Puberty and adolescent development
    • Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM)
    • Goal setting and future planning
    • Empowerment and self-confidence building
    • Planning and management skills
    • Resource management and sharing information
    • Communication and leadership skills
  • Ensure sessions are age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and participatory.
  • Prepare session plans, materials, and tools in advance.

2. Psychosocial Support & Safe Environment

  • Create a safe and confidential space for girls to express themselves.
  • Identify signs of distress, vulnerability, or protection concerns.
  • Provide Psychological First Aid (PFA) when needed.
  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection principles are respected at all times.
  • Promote inclusion, respect, and positive group dynamics.

3. Referral and Case Support

  • Identify cases requiring specialized services (GBV, protection, health, mental health, etc.).
  • Refer cases according to the established referral pathway.
  • Coordinate with protection and health service providers when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.

4. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

  • Conduct pre- and post-session evaluations to measure knowledge and behavioral change.
  • Monitor girls’ participation, engagement, and progress.
  • Maintain attendance sheets and session documentation.
  • Prepare regular progress reports.
  • Collect feedback from participants to improve program quality.

5. Girls’ Empowerment & Community Engagement

  • Encourage girls’ active participation and leadership.
  • Promote self-esteem, resilience, and positive coping mechanisms.
  • Support girls in setting personal and educational goals.
  • Engage caregivers when necessary to reinforce positive outcomes.
  • Raise awareness about issues affecting displaced and vulnerable girls.

6. Coordination and Communication

  • Coordinate with the project team and supervisors.
  • Participate in regular team meetings.
  • Support outreach and mobilization activities when required.
  • Share relevant information and best practices with the team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in PSS, life skills facilitation, or protection programs.
  • Experience working with adolescent girls (10–19 years old).
  • Experience working with displaced communities (Hejra/Nouzouh context).
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Adolescent development
    • Menstrual Hygiene Management
    • Child Protection and GBV principles
    • Referral pathways

  • Empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to handle sensitive topics professionally.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.
  • Ability to monitor progress and conduct evaluations.
  • Team player with strong coordination skills.

This position is open to female candidates only, due to the sensitive nature of sessions related to puberty, menstrual hygiene, and girls’ empowerment
