CANCELED - Communications and Visibility Officer

1.  Planning and Coordination

  • Attend weekly work-in-progress meetings with the Project Manager and take minutes as required.
  • Develop and regularly update a project Communications and Visibility Plan in compliance with AICS branding guidelines and the project visibility strategy agreed with AICS and the Italian Embassy Beirut.
  • Coordinate with Ana Aqra's communications focal point to ensure joint visibility materials reflect both organisations' contributions and comply with AICS requirements.
  • Coordinate with the PM and M&E Officer on the timing of visibility activities, ensuring alignment with project milestones (distribution rounds, works completions, PSS activities).
  • Support in the organisation of and accompany donor visits and field monitoring visits as requested.

2.  Production of Visibility and Communication Materials

  • Design or commission, and produce all AICS-compliant visibility materials: roll-up banners, posters, labelling stickers for distributed items, branded staff vests (CISP and Ana Aqra), PSEA awareness posters, and shelter identification plaques where approved by MEHE/school management.
  • Draft content and coordinate production of press releases if any; ensure Italian Embassy Beirut approval is obtained prior to any publication or distribution.
  • Manage all social media communication for the project on CISP and Ana Aqra platforms, drafting posts in Arabic and English; ensure no identifiable beneficiary images are published without written informed consent.
  • Draft and format the project information boards displayed at all 10 target shelters (Arabic and English), ensuring correct donor attribution, implementing organisation details, and AAP feedback contact information.
  • Produce before/after photographic and video documentation of WASH rehabilitation works and distribution/PSS activities in compliance with CISP's protection and consent protocols (no identifiable beneficiaries without consent; no visible people in WASH before/after works photos).
  • Compile a project photo library and maintain an organised digital archive accessible to the PM, M&E Officer, and CISP HQ.

3.  Reporting and Documentation

  • Draft the communications and visibility sections of CISP's report to AICS, documenting all visibility activities completed.
  • Prepare a project closing lessons-learned communication brief summarising visibility actions, reach, and recommendations for future emergency responses.
  • Provide the PM with a monthly visibility log documenting all materials produced, channels used, and estimated reach.
  • Support in the drafting and translation of project documents from English to Arabic and vice versa as required.

4.  Ethics and Professional Practice

  • Ensure all communication and visibility activities are in line with relevant humanitarian communication standards, AICS branding guidelines, CISP's institutional policies, and the Do No Harm principle.
  • Respect and protect the dignity, privacy, and confidentiality of all beneficiaries; never publish images, names, or personal details without explicit written informed consent.
  • Comply with child protection and PSEA policies at all times; do not produce or publish any content that could identify or expose children or vulnerable individuals to risk.
  • Obtain all required approvals (MEHE, AICS, school management) before deploying any on-site visibility materials.
  • Report any incident or act that causes harm to beneficiaries or reputational risk to CISP, Ana Aqra, or AICS immediately to the PM.
  • Always act in line with relevant standards, codes of conduct, and humanitarian principles to prevent abuse, exploitation, fraud, and corruption.
