SARD Lebanon Flash Report 02 : Cross-border influx from Lebanon (March 26, 2026)

SITUATION OVERVIEW

Following the full-scale invasion of Lebanon launched on 2 March 2026, Israeli airstrikes have continued at high intensity in Beirut’s southern suburbs and across villages in southern and eastern Lebanon.

Displacement orders issued by the Israeli Forces continue to drive mass-scale movement of people. Many families have fled multiple times as hostilities reach new areas.

Amid these ongoing hostilities Syria has witnessed an unprecedented reverse exodus, with tens of thousands of Syrians returning to their country to escape the ongoing Israeli military escalation on Lebanese territory.
