Assistant Project Manager

The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of project activities, ensuring that tasks are delivered efficiently and in line with project objectives, timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day management and follow-up of project activities.
  • Coordinate and organize project events, including awareness sessions, workshops, trainings, meetings, and conferences.
  • Liaise with partners, stakeholders, beneficiaries, and relevant service providers to ensure smooth implementation of activities.
  • Support logistical arrangements for project events, including venue coordination, invitations, attendance follow-up, materials preparation, and reporting.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes of meetings, activity reports, and other project documentation.
  • Monitor progress of activities and follow up on deadlines, deliverables, and action points.
  • Maintain regular communication with project partners and stakeholders to ensure proper coordination and information flow.
  • Assist in drafting project correspondence, concept notes, presentations, and narrative inputs for reports.
  • Ensure that project records, files, and supporting documents are properly organized and maintained.
  • Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reports as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations, Project Management, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in project coordination or project management support.
  • Previous experience with international organizations is highly preferable, particularly with European Union-funded projects or programs.
  • Proven experience in organizing events, workshops, awareness sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Strong ability to liaise and build effective working relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational, coordination, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
