Enumerator- Aakar and T5

The primary objective of the Enumerator is to conduct field assessment surveys, phone calls, data collection and validation, and to complete online surveys for at least 761 IDP families hosted outside collective shelters in North Lebanon and Akkar, identified through protection referrals regardless of nationality, as part of RMF’s Shelter Emergency Response.

  1. Key Responsibilities
  • Data Collection: Conduct thorough and accurate field assessment surveys and online surveys for eligible IDP households as part of RMF’s Shelter Emergency Response.
  • Documentation: Record detailed information on household conditions, needs, and eligibility criteria.
  • Coordination: Liaise with the project coordinator and supervisors to ensure activities are aligned with project timelines, objectives, and RMF’s Shelter Emergency Response.
  • Compliance: Adhere strictly to project protocols, guidelines, and ethical standards during data collection, reporting, and community engagement.
  • Communication: Provide timely feedback and updates to project management on progress, challenges, and any necessary adjustments.
  • Community Engagement: Communicate clearly with residents to explain the purpose of the assessment and ensure informed participation.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with fellow Enumerators and project team members to achieve collective project goals under RMF’s Shelter Emergency Response.
  1. Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum: High school diploma (Baccalaureate or equivalent).
  • Language: Basic knowledge of English (reading and writing).
  • Previous experience in field data collection, surveys, or assessments.
  • Experience working in humanitarian or development projects, preferably within informal settlements or refugee settings.
  • Weatherproofing/Construction Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with tent structures, shelter assessments, or basic construction would be beneficial.
  1. Skills and Competencies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact respectfully with vulnerable communities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in recording observations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in challenging environments.
  • Team spirit and ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Basic computer literacy (Excel, smartphones/tablets for data entry).
  • Physical Stamina: Comfortable working outdoors for long hours and navigating informal settlements.

 

  1. Expected Deliverables
  • Accurate and complete data for all assigned households, collected using the unified shelter assessment tool.
  • Submission of daily activity logs summarize the number of tents assessed, location, challenges faced, and any observations or trends.
  • Adherence to data privacy, consent protocols, and assessment guidelines throughout the assignment.
  • Confirmation of participation in pre-assessment training sessions and regular debriefings.
  1. Terms and Conditions
  • Contract Duration: Per diem–based engagement for a maximum of 16 working days per month, not necessarily consecutive, during the coming 4 months.
  • Remuneration: USD 30 per working day
  • Work Environment: The assignment requires daily field movement, including visits to informal settlements and direct engagement with refugee communities.
  • Travel Arrangements: Transportation to field locations will be provided by the organization vehicle
  • Nature of Engagement: This is a temporary, activity-based assignment and does not constitute a full-time or long-term employment contract
  • Participation is subject to operational needs, availability, and performance
