Job Summary
The Project Officer – MHPSS supports the effective implementation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) project activities. The role focuses on ensuring timely delivery of activities, accurate data management, and strong coordination with field teams and stakeholders.
The Project Officer will work closely with the Project Manager to support multiple projects, ensuring alignment with donor requirements, organizational standards, and MHPSS technical guidelines.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Project Implementation & Follow-up
- Support the implementation of MHPSS activities in line with project work plans and timelines.
- Follow up daily with field teams to ensure activities are implemented as scheduled.
- Track progress across multiple project locations and flag delays or challenges.
- Assist in updating and maintaining weekly and monthly activity schedules.
Communication and Coordination
- Coordinate closely with field teams (case workers, facilitators, psychologists) to ensure smooth implementation.
- Serve as a focal point for day-to-day communication between field teams and the Project Manager.
- Organize and follow up on internal meetings, including preparing agendas and documenting minutes.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders when needed (partners, service providers, etc.).
Monitoring, Data Management & Validation
- Collect, review, and validate data submitted by field teams (attendance sheets, activity reports, referrals, etc.).
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of project data.
- Maintain updated tracking tools for activities, beneficiaries, and indicators.
- Identify data discrepancies and follow up with teams for corrections.
Reporting
- Prepare daily and weekly internal updates on project implementation.
- Lead the drafting of monthly reports (activities, achievements, challenges, indicators).
- Support the Project Manager in donor reporting requirements.
- Contribute to narrative reports with a focus on MHPSS activities and outcomes.
Technical Support (MHPSS)
- Ensure activities are implemented in line with basic MHPSS principles (do no harm, confidentiality, safe referrals).
- Support field teams in identifying needs and linking beneficiaries to appropriate services (case management, PSS, GBV, CP).
- Flag urgent protection or mental health concerns to the Project Manager.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all activities are implemented in line with organizational and donor guidelines.
- Conduct regular checks on the quality of activities and documentation.
- Support in documenting lessons learned and best practices.
Operational Support
- Support logistical coordination of activities when needed (scheduling, materials follow-up).
- Maintain organized project documentation (both soft and hard copies).
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in project implementation, preferably in MHPSS or protection programs.
- Experience in data collection, reporting, and monitoring is required.
- Experience working with NGOs or humanitarian settings is an asset.
Language:
Fluency in Arabic and English required
- Competencies:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills (essential for handling multiple projects).
- High attention to detail, especially in data validation and reporting.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.

Conditions
- Full-Time working hours: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
