Clinical Psychologist (Consultancy)

Under the direct supervision of the line Manager, the Clinical Psychologist is responsible for conducting structured clinical assessments, utilizing standardized tools, developing treatment plans with clear objectives, providing psychological interventions, and monitoring progress. 

1-Sensitization and Capacity Building

  • Conduct sessions for JRS staff on how to support migrant workers in distress or psychological challenges.
  • Facilitate sessions on self-care and stress management when needed.
  • Provide training for JRS Staff members in the project.

2-Clinical Interventions

  • Provide appropriate mental health support and psychological treatment through individual interventions, and focused PSS sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with social workers to develop individualized intervention plans following the case management model.
  • Participate in case discussions with the line manager for cases under follow-up.
  • Participate in scheduled case conferences with social workers to ensure alignment with the intervention objectives.

3- External Intervention and Coordination

  • Build and maintain a referral network with external MHPSS actors, including case management units and specialized therapy services .
  • Receive referrals from social workers, and provide sessions according to a set schedule at JRS Migrants Center.
  • Co-facilitate MHPSS awareness sessions for migrant workers with the Social Worker .
  • Collaborate with external experts as needed.

4-Reporting and Documentation

  • Provide weekly progress reports to the line manager.
  • Participate in weekly MHPSS team meetings for case discussions, supervision, and coordination.
  • Maintain organized and confidential case files, including assessment and follow-up forms.
  • Ensure accurate data collection by completing MHPSS database forms daily (assessment forms, follow-up forms, etc.).

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes: 

  • Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology .
  • License to practice the profession from the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).
  • Minimum of 2 professional years of experience in the field.
  • Background in GBV/Protection and communities of Refugees or Displaced people is an asset.
  • Knowledge of English and Arabic both written and spoken is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
