Call for Tenders for an Expert to conduct 4 playback theatre performances

This consultancy aims to recruit an expert to design, coordinate, and implement four playback theater performances, one in each of Choueifat, Muhammara, Qab Elias, and Saida, in close collaboration with Dawaer and Masar’s project team, local municipalities, and the project’s youth core team in each area.

Due to the ongoing war in Lebanon in 2026, which has led to significant internal displacement and heightened social tensions, the performances are expected to take place in communal safe spaces, ensuring accessibility and safety for participants.

The Expert will be responsible for developing a participatory playback theater methodology, including the provision of equipment and materials, fully priced and mentioned in the financial proposal, and the delivery of interactive performances that encourage audience members to share personal stories, which are then enacted live on stage.

Through this process, performances should promote social cohesion, foster empathy, and stimulate dialogue among diverse and displaced communities, while ensuring safe, conflict-sensitive, and respectful participation.

The awarded applicant shall demonstrate the ability to perform services during weekends, if required by the project schedule.
